ABC’s hit new drama, ‘Revenge’, has been picked up for a full season. Wednesday night’s ratings were so good ABC execs have ordered nine more episodes of this exhilarating new drama. Wednesday the show averaged 7.9 million viewers and a 2.7 rating in the adult demo, beating out CSI to win the 10 p.m. hour. The show has been competing with the CBS veteran since it premiered four weeks ago, and finally won. ABC has had a hard time filling their 10pm spot, and they are very happy to have ‘Revenge’ join the ranks of other on-brand soap to join its ranks along with Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy. ‘Revenge’, developed by Mike Kelley, centers on “Emily Thorne”, or “Amanda Clarke” who returns to the Hamptons to take revenge on the people who destroyed her family, and ultimately took part in her father’s death. The show also stars Gabriel Mann, Henry Czerny, Ashley Madekwe, Josh Bowman, Nick Wechsler, Connor Paolo and Christa B. Allen. ABC has also added ‘Suburgatory’ to their full season lineup. This stars Jeremy Sisto as a father trying to raise his teenage daughter after moving out to the suburbs. This series got a strong top ratings performance review in its first episodes averaging about 9.8 million total viewers and a 3.3 rating among adults ages 18-49, serving as ABC’s strong lead-in to ‘Modern Family’. In addition to those shows ABC has called for an additional script order for ‘Happy Endings’. This comedy has climbed its way up by 18 percent from last week. With the pickups of ‘Revenge’ and ‘Suburgatory’, ABC’s freshman series join ‘Whitney’, ‘Up All Night’, ‘2 Broke Girls’, ‘New Girl’, ‘Ringer’, ‘Hart of Dixie’, ‘The Secret Circle’ in receiving full seasons.
