Horses, money, gambling and a little bit of Luck! The
new HBO series, ‘Luck’, from acclaimed director Michael Mann and ‘Deadwood’ creator David Milch takes an exciting look into the world of horse racing. You will get a first person view of what it’s like to be an owner, gambler, jockey, etc. If this becomes a regular show for you, you might need to brush up on your Racing Lingo. For example did you know that there are three types of agents? There are the Owner’s agent, the racing managers in charge of dealing with trainers and administrative duties. The Jockey’s agent represents his client in procurement of mounts and finally the Bloodstock agents buy and sell horses either privately or at auction sales. ‘Luck’ will be airing Sundays at 9pm. The series premiere is Sunday January 29
th, 2012 at 9pm on HBO. After you catch the first episode, make sure to hop over to HBOGo and watch the second episode a week early!
