‘Two and a Half Men’ appeared on CBS, September 22, 2003. Over the years it has captivated audiences, and has won many Emmys and received nominations for Golden Globes. America could not get enough of the onscreen chemistry between Charlie and Alan. The general public seemed just as captivated by the unfortunate drama unfolding in Charlie Sheen personal life, ultimately leading to his termination on the show. For fans of the show, it seemed like this may have been the end of an era for a great comedy series. Faith was restored when it was reported that Ashton Kutcher would be joining the cast. It was unsure at the time exactly what type of character Ashton would play; whether it would replace Charlie Harpers character, or play a Charlie Harper after multiple plastic surgery procedures, or if he would just play some actor named “Raymond.” CBS president Nina Tassler has revealed that newcomer Ashton will be playing “Walden Schmidt” an Internet Billionaire with a broken heart. It is still unsure if he will be related to Alan. It is also unsure whether Charlie Sheen’s character will be revealed as dead in the season opener. The season 9 premiere starts Monday, Sept. 19th at 9/8c on CBS. Tassler looks toward the future of ‘Two and a Half Men’ and says this about Kutcher, “The great news is the show will be as irreverent as it’s always been, there is great value in hiring an actor like Ashton Kutcher. He is extraordinarily professional, talented, gifted actor who comes with tremendous amount of commitment and enthusiasm.” Don’t Miss Ashton Kutchers debut on ‘Two and a Half Men’.
