From the SkyREPORT on 08/03/2007 Just in time for the English Premiership season opener and the 2007 Rugby World Cup, EchoStar is launching Setanta Sports on DISH Network to subscribers across America for the first time. The network has enjoyed high demand outside the U.S. recently thanks to its depth of soccer and rugby programming to sports fans worldwide. Setanta offers 24/7 access to more than 1,000 live events, including U.K. and European football, as well as world-class rugby and other sports programming. Through the new agreement, Setanta Sports is available to DISH Network customers for $14.99 per month, and to business subscribers starting at $100 per month. With a subscription to Setanta Sports, customers will receive "armchair access" to live, international sports presented in their original format, including the world's top soccer from Barclay's English Premiership League and the UEFA Champions League. Subscribers will also get the top flight Rugby Union including the 2007 Rugby World Cup, the annual Six Nations tournament and The Heineken Cup of Europe. Setanta will be offered for free in DISH Network's Preview Showroom on channel 284 now through Sept. 5.
