DISH NetworPandorak is one of the leading pay-TV providers and as they continue to add more features they will only get bigger and bigger. They have introduced Pandora, the leading personalized radio service to the Dish Hopper. The DISH Hopper is their new whole-home DVR system that allows you to record up to six different programs all at one time and that is just the beginning of what the Hopper can do. Now that Pandora has been added to the Hopper, it will allow customers to easily search for their favorite artists or songs and create personalized radio stations that play only the music they love from the comfort of their homes. For those DISH customers that have already ordered the Hopper, they will be able to login to their existing Pandora account, or create a new Pandora account to stream their personalized radio stations through their television. It is important to note that in order to stream Pandora on the Hopper you must have an Internet connection. “Pandora adds new dimension to the Hopper experience,” said Vivek Khemka, vice president of product management at DISH. “This partnership is another example of how we are working to make Hopper the entertainment platform of choice for America’s homes.” According to the VP of Business Development at Pandora more than a third of all people that listen to Pandora do it in the privacy of their home. So adding Pandora to The Hopper is just the next step in making it easier for customers to have easy access to the music they love through their personalized radio stations. The Dish Hopper features three satellite TV tuners and a two-terabyte hard drive that stores up to 2,000 hours of video. Accompany that with the Joey and you can pause the TV in one room and continue watching in another room. DISH launched Hopper in March and it is available to both new and existing DISH customers. The addition of Pandora to the DISH Hopper features apps that give viewers real-time access to Facebook, Twitter and photo sharing, as well as games, news, weather, sports and stock quotes.
