As of late, the new 'Kennedys' miniseries had been tossed around like a hot potato, but after much debate, the eight part movie has finally found a home on ReelzChannel, station 289 for DISH Network subscribers. Journalists have called it the "homeless miniseries" seeing as many popular networks including the History Channel did not want to air 'The Kennedys' because of rumored historical inaccuracy. The History Channel made claims that "after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand.” Even though real-life members of the Kennedy family reportedly requested that the channel would not air the miniseries because of the presidential family's portrayal. The miniseries, created by '24' executive producer Joel Surnow and writer Stephen Kronish boasts well known actors including Greg Kinnear, Katie Holmes, Barry Pepper and tom Wilkinson. The supposed $30 million miniseries is set to air its first two episodes on ReelzChannel, a family owned cable channel based out of Minnesota, April 3 with the remaining episodes airing the rest of the week. ReelzChannel is part of Hubbard Communications and is said to reach 60 million households across the U.S. including DISH Network subscribers.According to ReelzChannel CEO Stan Hubbard he knew that 'The Kennedys' would be the right fit for his independent channel after watching the series himself: “One of the benefits of being an independent network is that you can be an independent voice and you don’t have to worry about corporate pressure or political pressure,” Hubbard said.  “This is a project that deserves to be seen.” To learn more about ReelzChannel and be sure that its a part of your satellite TV package, visit authorized DISH Network retailer DISH Systems online or call 866-989-3474.
