DISH Network is the first satellite TV provider to offer 'BabyTV' in the Spanish-language on DishLATINO for U.S. subscribers. The new channel offers 24-hour programming without commercial interruptions for babies and toddlers to enjoy with the family. The 'BabyTV' network centers around child development with a variety of programming options that encourages parent involvement. According to Alfredo Rodriguez, vice president of marketing for DishLATINO: “BabyTV will add another dimension to the already wide variety of high-quality Spanish-language children’s programming offered in our DishLATINO packages, such as CBeebies, Discovery in Español and Toon Disney.” DISH Network subscribers can access 'BabyTV' on channel 824 where they can find nine different programming features: Nature and Animals, Music and Art, Imagination and Creativity, Activities, First Concepts, Guessing Games, Building Friendships, First Songs and Rhymes and Nighttime. The original content on the network is to help create a "positive experience that opens the door for future learning." Some popular programs on the made-for-baby network include: "Charlie & the Numbers," "Tulli," "Oliver Discoveries," "Pim & Pimba," and "First Baby Songs." As an interactive supplement to 'BabyTV,' parents visit 'BabyTV' online where they can find information about shows, new activities and even a 'BabyTV' radio station.
