DISH Systems Announces Their Second Annual Essay Scholarship for 2012

With the cost of school tuition continuing to rise it is getting harder to afford college. DISH Systems would like to help. Announcing our second annual Essay Scholarship for 2012! We thoroughly enjoyed reading your essays from last year and can’t wait to see what you come up with for this year. We will proudly award $1,000 scholarship to one qualifying graduating senior high school student or non-graduating college student with the most provocative and well written essay as judged by members of our staff. Here are some quick rules and regulations.

Rules:

  • Open only to college-bound graduating high school seniors and non-graduating students currently enrolled in college.
  • One entry per student. Attempts at multiple essay entries or invalid information will result in disqualification.
  • Plagiarism on any part of an essay will result in immediate disqualification.

How to Win: Write a 500 word minimum essay on one of the offered topics. Writing more than the minimum requirement does not necessarily increase your chances. Find the list of featured topics here.

  • Remember to submit your essays by March 1st, 2012 before 5 p.m. PST
  • Please note that essays will be graded on grammar usage and execution of ideas on the student’s topic of choice.

Email your essays to scholarships@dish-systems.com attached as a Microsoft Word document or as a .doc file on Text Edit. Please name your document file with your first and last name. For example, firstname_lastname.doc. Please include in your email your; Name, Address, Phone Number, High School Name, City and State, College you’re attending, plan to attend, or have applied for. Winners will be decided and announced by March 1st, 2012 and announced on DISH-Systems.com.
