The Bowl season for the Big 12 football teams hit high gear Wednesday, December 28th, with No. 24 Texas (7-5) meeting California (7-5) in the Holiday Bowl. This marks the first of five bowls involving Big 12 Schools over the next week. The Bowl games started earlier this week and have continued to weed out the winners and the losers. Tuesday North Carolina beat out Louisville 31-24. It was a close game and in the very end the Cardinals had one last chance to send the game into overtime after stopping N.C. State on fourth-and-2. However luck was not on their side and on a third-and-12 Dontae Johnson sacked Bridgewater for an 11-yard loss setting up a game clinching interception by David Amerson.
