The 84th Annual Academy Awards are two days away. In these last few days before the ceremony it seems like the biggest six categories seem to have clear frontrunners. There are the clear veterans of the show like George Clooney, Meryl Streep there have been many new performances from relative newcomers like Elizabeth Olsen and Michael Fassbender. There are some burning questions though that needs to be uncovered. Here are some of our questions? What are yours?
Which Movie will take home the most Oscars for the night? Will it be ‘The Artist’, ‘The Descendants’, ‘Money Ball’, ‘The Help’ etc? Any of them have the chance to be the big winner of the evening.
Will Billy Crystal be able to boost ratings? Back when Crystal hosted the Oscars in 2004 the ratings hit a high of 43.6 million in U.S. viewers. The years following that have not seen as great of ratings. Oscar execs are hoping to hit that mark again and bring in more than 43.6 million U. S. viewers. Let’s see if that happens!
Will Viola Davis win for ‘The Help’ and will her speech get political? ‘The Help’ actress has become increasingly vocal about race issues during the awards season. We are wondering if she wins, will she use the platform to preach to hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide. Stay tuned to find out.
Will the Muppets make a guest appearance? When Eddie Murphy decided to relinquish his hosting duties an internet campaign developed that was pushing for the Muppets to take his place. The Academy decided on Billy Crystal but a nomination for ‘Man or Muppet’ gave fans hope for a big musical number during the ceremony. The Muppets could surprise with an appearance bigger than their scheduled presentation.
