The time has come; Comedy Central has decided to roast Charlie Sheen. Millions of people have been waiting and tonight is the night. At 10pm on Comedy Central some of the most popular comics and TV personalities will take their best shot at controversial entertainment figure Charlie Sheen. Coincidentally this is also the same night of the season premiere of the ninth season of ‘Two and a Half Men’, with the debut of Charlie Sheen’s replacement, Ashton Kutcher. The lineup of this roast is sure to be a hit. The roasters include Mike Tyson, Jon Lovitz, Slash, Steve-O and William Shatner just to name a few. The roast masters include the hysterical Jeffrey Ross who is a staple among these roasts, and returning for yet another roast is ‘Family Guy’ creator, Seth McFarlane. The Show was taped this past Saturday, with outlets like Entertainment Weekly and The Los Angeles Times there to cover the event. Here are a few highlights from the night:
  • Seth MacFarlane: “’On two and a half men’ tonight, they’re apparently having a funeral for Charlie’s character. But there’s no need to switch over; in two months, you can probably see the real thing.
  • Comedian Jefferey Ross: “You’re the black sheep of a family that produced three ‘Mighty Ducks’ movies.”
Those are just a few of the zingers that Charlie Sheen has to endure tonight. He was reported to be a very good sport about it and smiled through the whole roast. “Nothing’s off limits,” says Sheen. “Once again I have come out unscathed. Here beats an eternal flame (as he touches his chest). I just need to keep it away from the crack pipe.” To catch the uncensored full roast tune into Comedy Central tonight at 10pm.
