The lineup for Halloween specials on the Food Network has already been airing throughout the week leading up to the big night. Just in case you weren’t able to set your DISH DVR to catch up on your Halloween foodie shows this week, here’s a list of upcoming holiday episodes on Food Network that you can watch this weekend through your DISH Network programming.
Starting Friday, October 29th at 7:00 AM, Food Network will feature its popular “Good Eats” show with its All Hallows Eats themed episode, followed by a trip down south with the Halloween at Home special on “Paula’s Home Cooking.” Rachel Ray also makes it easy for cooks on a time crunch to bust out some tasty treats with Scaring Up Supper on at 1:00 PM and Ghoulish Grub airing at 6:30 PM for two episodes of ghostly delights.
The day before Halloween seems to have the most Halloween-themed programming on the Food Network, so have no fear if you haven’t starting planning your holiday party just yet. A helpful tip while preparing your treats or meals is to use your DISH DVR to record the shows of your choice so you can cook while you watch and pause if you need more time in between instructions. On October 30th, “Down Home With the Neely’s” gets a Monster Mash makeover with a brand new episode at 11:00 AM. For those with a sweet tooth or two, “Kid in a Candy Store” brings viewers Tricked out Treats with clever candy ideas for the holiday. Primetime on Saturday has what I feel is the most entertaining to watch with three back to back episodes of “Food Network Challenge” starting at 8:00 PM with Spooky Cake and Candy Cook-off followed by Haunted Gingerbread Houses and finally, Outrageous Pumpkins at 10:00 PM.
“Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee” shows off the cooking diva’s always fabulous tablescapes and tasty delights – Halloween style with her Halloween Queens episode on Sunday, October 31st. “Big Daddy’s House” will also air on Halloween featuring home-style meals on his appropriately themed episode: Phenomenal Fall.
