“Yo Yo Yo Dawg”, in case you missed it; American Idol has recently announced the addition of two new judges. With its 10th season auditions starting this month, Idol hopefuls will be no longer have to withstand the usually harsh comments from former Idol judge and producer Simon Cowell. During this past season rumors were flying that a few of the top celebrity judges had decided to terminate their American Idol judge responsibilities and who would replace them remained a mystery, until now. Rumors swarmed that Sir Elton John was a potential candidate and online surveys agreed that the late Michael Jackson would have brought back the slipping Idol ratings. On September 22, 2010, ABC announced that this season thousands of young American Idol potentials will get the opportunity to impress Aerosmith’s front man Steven Tyler and the one and only Jenny from the Block, also known as J Lo. The 10th season of American Idol is not scheduled to air until early 2011 and executive producer Nigel Lythgeo has promised that viewers will see that more than just the panel of judges has changed. This year Lythgoe is hoping to foster an environment where viewers will see more than just a singer on the stage but their personality and star power. So set your DVR’s my fellow American Idol fans, with all the new changes coming, this season is sure to be exciting, one might even go as far as saying “we’re livin’ on the edge”.
