Saying "goodbye" to Oprah Winfrey is like saying goodbye to a dear friend, or family member even, as someone you invite into your home every weekday for the last 25 years. I wish I could say that friend was just moving down the street - to a different station, a different time, but the reality is that Wednesday, May 25 (fittingly) will be the last 'Oprah Winfrey Show' ever. In case you haven't already had the box of tissues sitting on your coffee table after watching the last two 'Oprah Winfrey Show' Surprise Spectacular specials, you'll want to get them out before the finale show airs today. On the last 'Oprah Winfrey Show' Wednesday, Oprah will not be bringing any celebrity guests on stage; it is reported of being a more intimate hour between Oprah, her fans, viewers and the audience. Oprah will read a personally written letter to her viewers, most of whom have been with her throughout the years and have grown up watching and admiring her positive impact on television and the world. Wednesday's show will also pay tribute to 25 years of the most memorable 'Oprah Winfrey Show' moments. According to a live blog from ABCNews.com, "Winfrey said the secret to her success is 'my team and Jesus.' 'The only time I've ever made mistakes is when I didn't listen. God is love, and God is life.'" Oprah's last show will prove to be just as inspirational and heartfelt as any one of her shows over the past quarter of a century, with nearly 30,000 guests to date, impacting the lives of millions of people around the world.Although Oprah will not be hosting her "own" show anymore, she will still be a behind-the-scenes part of the Oprah Winfrey Network, OWN, which launched at the beginning of the new year in January. In honor of the last 'Oprah Winfrey Show,' OWN will be airing six full days of "Oprah filled programming," while Entertainment Weekly reports that the network will direct viewers to watch Oprah's last show on ABC at 4pm ET. Following the finale show, OWN will continue to air nearly a week's worth of Oprah Winfrey dedicated shows including: 'The Gayle King Show: Best of Oprah Winfrey,' 'Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes,' and 'Ask Oprah's All-Stars.' You can catch OWN programming in HD on DISH Network, to learn more about adding OWN to your satellite TV programming package, visit authorized retailer DISH Systems online or call 866-989-3474.Will you tune in to the last 'Oprah Winfrey Show?'
