More than two dozen News Corp. owned cable channels may be dropped by service provider DirecTV Group Inc. on November 1st if the two companies can’t reach an agreement on the new distribution deal. Some of these channels include FX, The National Geographic Channel, 19 regional sports networks, and a handful of other sports channels. With the loss of these channels, why not make the easy switch to DISH Network. Along with all the great channel options some of the other features offered by DISH are packages starting at $19.99/mo and Free Blockbuster Movie Pass for 3 months. That is important if you love having access to blockbuster hits as soon as they are available. With the Increase in price of Red box and Netflix why not make the switch to DISH and kill two birds with one stone. Starting October 31st, Redbox DVD rentals will no longer be $1 a day, the DVD rental retailer will be raising the price to $1.20, the company announced yesterday. In addition to that, Fox and DISH have a partnership that provides its subscribers with access to online content up to 8 days before anyone else. This initiative started on August 15th, 2011 and requires that those who are not a subscriber of DISH Network or Hulu wait 8 days before they can watch new FOX content online. So you favorite shows like ‘The Simpsons’ or ‘Family Guy’ will not be available for viewing online for 8 days, unless you are a subscriber to a pay TV service like DISH Network. So avoid all the headaches of missing your favorite shows and losing your favorite channels and make the switch to DISH.
