Does Mosley still have what it takes to take down Manny Pacquiao and shock the boxing world? Sugar Shane is an obvious underdog in this one but it’s still going to be a fight to watch. Pacquiao been spending some time out of the gym making awful movies and commercials lately. Now he’s pitching new fragrances with his MP8 cologne and hobnobbing with his congress buddies in the Philippines. If if Rocky 3 taught us anything, it’s too much time in the spot light can make you go soft. But how soft does he have to get to lose to an aging, past his prime Mosley?
Mosley still has plenty of power left in his punch, so it’ll be interesting to see how long these guys will trade blows until one of them tires or falls. Pacquiao doesn’t face hard hitters of the likes of Sugar Shane too often. It’ll be interesting to see if he goes toe-to-toe with Mosley’s power or takes a more stand off strategic route to get points and win rounds. Hopefully for our sake, and the sake of boxing, these too just go out there and brawl with no regard for human life and put on the show we all want to see.
Vegas might not be giving the great Sugar Shane much of a chance but you can’t put odds on heart. And if we know one thing about Mosley’s fighting style, it’s that he fights with a lot of heart and plenty of talent – so don’t count this guy out until that final bell rings.
