Survivor Redemption Island on DISH NetworkBack for its 22nd season on CBS, the infamous reality series 'Survivor' returns with a few twists as 'Survivor: Redemption Island' premieres tonight on DISH Network at 8:00 PM. The new sixteen 'Survivor' castaways will duke it out in Nicaragua again, with a surprise helicopter visit from their tribal leaders, 'Survivor' veterans and big-time rivals: Rob Mariano (Boston Rob) and Russell Hantz. Not only is 'Survivor' creator Mark Burnett switching things up by bringing back two of the show's greatest contestants with "150 days of playing time between them," but contestants who are kicked off will have a chance to fight it out on Redemption Island for an opportunity to stay in the game. Someone will be voted off on tonight's premiere episode and automatically sent to Redemption Island where they will wait to battle the next person kicked off the original Survivor island (whoever loses that match will be sent home for good). E! Online asked 'Survivor' host Jeff Probst about the logistics of the 'Redemption Island' twist, to which he responded with: "We aren't revealing everything about how Redemption Island will work in relation to people coming back into the game. But I can tell you that it works smoothly, and once you see how it plays out it will make perfect sense...on the surface it might seem confusing, but it's not." With Wednesday nights packed with so many shows to choose from you might have to set your DISH DVR so you don't miss round two of Hollywood Week on 'American Idol' (groups!!) and the premiere of the 'Criminal Minds' spinoff - 'Suspect Behavior.'
