MTV Networks will be changing the names of three of its most popular channels effective October 1, 2009. DISH Network customers who subscribe to an applicable programming package will continue to enjoy all their favorite shows from “The N,” “Noggin,” and “BET Jazz” on the same DISH Network channel numbers and orbital locations as before, just with new names (please see the new names in the table below). TeenNick (previously “The N”) is Nickelodeon's 24-hour TV network exclusively for and about teens. TeenNick speaks to teens with an authentic point of view and celebrates what's powerful and unique about the everyday realities of being a teen. Nick Jr. (previously “Noggin”) is the commercial-free, educational preschool network from Nickelodeon. Nick Jr. strives to be a place where preschoolers can engage with characters they love while building their imaginations, gaining key cognitive and social-emotional skills, and learning about the world around them. CENTRIC (previously “BET Jazz”) is a music and entertainment channel, offering programming that reflects the musical styles, artists, and lifestyle programs that engage today's trend-setting, sophisticated African American and multicultural adults. Keep up to date with DISH Network programming. If you’re not a DISH Network customer and would like to order DISH Network, call 866.989.3474 or visit Dish Systems Online today.
