As chips and dips fly off grocery store shelves and man caves resume full preparation mode, the countdown for Super Bowl XLV comes down to the wire just two days before the big game. DISH Network will not only air Sunday's biggest game in the NFL season, but there are many other bowl games on television this weekend that viewers can enjoy before having to tune in to the Super Bowl. Super Bowl XLV: Watch six-time Super Bowl champs and veterans, Pittsburgh Steelers (AFC) take on the favored team to win (according to stats), Green Bay Packers (NFC) at the Dallas Cowboys' stadium in Arlington, Texas. Will Troy Polamalu (NFL Defensive Player of the Year) and the Steelers linebackers be able to hold QB Aaron Rogers and Pro Bowl receiver Greg Jennings? The black and gold and first time Super Bowl "underdogs," will have to trust that Roethlisberger will put his off-field drama behind him and get the Steelers to their seventh Super Bowl win. Ready to keep you entertained throughout the entire duration of the Super Bowl is the Black Eyed Peas as they perform at halftime. FOX has the official broadcast of the Super Bowl beginning at 6:00 PM ET, with kick off most likely happening at around 6:30 PM due to pre-game announcements and entertainment. Wing Bowl 2011: The Wing Bowl was earlier today, so in case you missed it I've provided a quick recap. Considering I can barely finish a handful of wings during the duration of any sporting event I find it hard to relate to this year's Wing Bowl champ, 25 year-old Jonathan "Super Squibb" Squibb of New Jersey. A whopping 2,550 grams of fat later, "Super Squibb" blew the competition away when he finished 255 wings in 30 minutes, beating a five-time champion for the $20,000 grand prize. Puppy Bowl VII: Animal Planet will host its seventh annual 'Puppy Bowl' on Super Bowl Sunday at 3:00 PM. Animal Planet realizes that its own take on keeping the football theme of the day alive is not going to even try to compete with Super Bowl XLV viewers, although repeat episodes of prior 'Puppy Bowls' have done well in ratings with millions of viewers tuning in. This year, the producers of the oh-so-cute show have a few bonus features they're adding to the festivities: “This year, we have chicken cheerleaders and a puppy cam [which is] a puppy point-of-view camera,” said Andrew Schechter ('Puppy Bowl' ref and show producer). Lingerie Bowl on PPV: Honestly, need I say more? For football fans that would rather get their cheerleader fix during halftime instead of watching BEP perform, tune in to PPV at 8:00 PM for the live 'game' which will be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Be sure to set your DISH DVR for the 'Puppy Bowl' on Animal Planet if you don't want to flip back and forth during the actual Super Bowl commercials, because let's be honest, we know half of the millions of people tuning in Sunday are doing so strictly to see what fun 30 sec. spots companies come up with.
