Enhancements to DISH Remote Access Now Available!
We are pleased to announce that we have added new functionality to DISH Remote Access! As you may already know, DISH Remote Access allows DISH Network customers to control certain DISH Network DVRs virtually any time and anywhere via the Internet.
Previously, a customer could control a DISH Network ViP®-series DVR receiver (ViP 612 DVR, ViP 622 DVR, ViP 722 DVR or ViP 722k DVR) that was connected to a broadband Internet connection via DISH Remote Access.
Now, timer information may be sent to a model 522, 625, ViP 612 DVR, ViP 622 DVR, ViP 722 DVR or ViP 722k DVR receiver via satellite communications. This means that these DISH DVR receivers may now receive timer information even if they are not connected to a broadband Internet connection, though customers may still continue to utilize DISH Remote Access via a broadband connection to their ViP-series DVR receivers.
FYI: DISH is the first pay-TV service to offer ‘TV Everywhere’ via DISH Remote Access App on the Android Tablet.
