DISH Network IR or Infrared RemotesDISH Network IR remotes use infrared light to control the receiver. Generally, a DISH IR remote has a maximum range of 40 feet. With an IR remote, it must be pointed directly at the DISH Network receiver without any solid objects in the way. You can identify the IR remotes, because they will not have the UHF logo on the bottom.
